Father Henry Huber is pastor of the Oelwein Pastorate (as of July 14, 2026). He will be assisted by Fr. Issac Boadu (living in Oelwein) and Fr. Gabriel Anderson (living in Guttenburg). Fr. Huber will live in Edgewood, and you may contact him there. The number is above. 

Office hours are Monday 9-12 a.m., and Thursday 9-12 a.m. You may call 319-283-9577 if one of the priests is not in the parish office. 

In the event of an emergency, where the services of a priest are needed to administer the Sacrament of the Sick, please call Fr. Isaac at 319-283-9577 if you are not able to reach him at the office.

It is a blessing from God that I have been called to ordination as a Permanent Deacon in the Archdioceses of Dubuque.  I am married to my wife Cheryl, have two wonderful married adult children and six fantastic grandchildren with a new little addition of a great-grandchild to join the team soon.   Currently I am a Deacon in the "Oelwein Pastorate' for the Archdiocese of Dubuque, working at Sacred Heart Parish in Oelwein, IA 

 I remain active in may new duties to begin the new Pastorate, in an effort to help the transition while we look to replace some open staff positions.  I am happy to help the parish at any time when called upon.  I look forward to many more years of serving with and for the people of God at Sacred Heart and in our new Pastorate.

Rachelle is the first contact in the parish office for most parish business. In person at the office or on the phone, Rachelle will either be able to help you or direct you to the person who can.   If you have questions or needs concerning Sacred Heart, you can contact Rachelle at our Parish Center who will provide you with the information you need.

The Face of Sacred Heart at the Center, Rachelle is here to help you.  It is a true blessing to have her as our first contact for the Sacred Heart Team.

Currently, with Nancy's retirement, the Coordinator of Religious Education position is open. You may contact the parish office if you are interested in the position, or want to know more about the program. We hope to hire someone in the next few weeks (July-August) to run the program.

Randy is responsible to work with the parish in general maintenance of facilities.  He assists with custodial duties and helps coordinate work that is needed to be done to maintain all of the grounds and buildings at Sacred Heart.
